Brimming with pride, Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) – Antipolo Campus is celebrating anew as another Fatimanian in the name of Juan Miguel Olmedilla etches his name in the annals of excellence, securing the eighth spot in the April 2024 Pharmacists Licensure Examination.

With unwavering focus and a solid grasp of pharmaceutical knowledge, Juan Miguel achieved an impressive score of 90.85 percent, catapulting him into the distinguished league of topnotchers.

His remarkable feat adds to the Home of the Topnotchers ethos that OLFU has meticulously cultivated through the years.

Juan Miguel’s achievement marks the thirteenth time a Fatimanian has clinched the title of topnotcher from the esteemed College of Pharmacy. His name now stands alongside the illustrious roster of 342 OLFU topnotchers, each a testament to the university’s commitment to nurturing brilliance.

Notably, it can be remembered that the same Antipolo Campus ranked eighth among top-performing schools in the November 2023 Pharmacists Licensure Exam, proving their consistent academic merit in the field of pharmacy.

Meanwhile, Juan Miguel is not alone in this major success. A total of 93 Fatimanians have emerged as newly licensed pharmacists.

Across OLFU campuses in Antipolo, Laguna, Pampanga, Quezon City, and Valenzuela, Fatimanians outperformed the national passing rate of 55.19 percent. Their stellar performances—74.19 percent, 100 percent, 62.50 percent, 64.00 percent, and 65.12 percent, respectively—simply underscore the holistic and empowering education imparted by OLFU.

For first-time takers, the narrative remains one of excellence. The campuses in Antipolo, Pampanga, Quezon City, and Valenzuela surpassed the national passing rate of 70.40 percent for this group, reaffirming OLFU’s commitment to nurturing fresh talent.

On a rather extraordinary occasion for OLFU, the community is in jubilation yet again, just five days after 344 Fatimanians successfully hurdled the April 2024 Physicians Licensure Exam.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony will be announced by PRC at a later date. Nevertheless, newly licensed pharmacists are advised to log their initial registration via the commission’s official website. – Raymond Lumagsao
