First launched in the Pampanga Campus, the College has recently expanded to the Quezon City Campus, and aims to provide a strong engineering education that is guided by outstanding moral values, compassion and a drive towards continuous professional development. It produces highly skilled and well-trained practitioners who help sustain the economic stability of the country; have a great sense of responsibility, and possess excellent leadership qualities and uncompromised integrity.
Today, students of the College of Engineering reap the full benefits from OLFU’s world-class learning platforms and resources which are paired with state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories—all delivered by a competent teaching faculty through a masterful mix of learning modalities: online, distance or, when health conditions permit, face-to-face learning.
It is also noteworthy that OLFU is one among a few select schools to be granted the Certificate of Authority by the CHEd, allowing it to conduct limited face-to-face classes in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic; a testament to the University’s established and effective community safety protocols.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING (BSECE)
The Electronics Engineering program integrates available and emerging technologies with knowledge of mathematics, natural, social and applied sciences to conceptualize, design and implement new, improved, or innovative electronic, computer and communication systems, devices, goods, services and processes.
The program provides students the knowledge in the development and application of devices and systems involving the flow of electrons or other carriers of electronic charge, in a vacuum, in a gaseous media, in plasma, in semiconductors, in solid-state and/or similar devices including applications involving optical, electromagnetic and other energy form when transduced or converted into electronic signals (RA 9292, 2004).
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering The College of Engineering was established in 2012 with its initial program offering, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Now, it continues to expand with an additional program offering, the Electronics Engineering.
