In August 1999, the Minister of Education invited Multimedia Technology Enhancement Operations Sdn. Bhd. (METEOR), a consortium of 11 public universities in the country, to set up an open university. The move led to the establishment of Open University Malaysia (OUM) in August 2000 followed by its official launch on 26 Aug ust 2002 by the then Prime Minister of Malaysia YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. Based on the Memorandum of Understanding between Gumi University (GU) and OLFU, the two universities agreed to establish a Student Exchange and Language Program (English or Korean) wherein five bonafide students per university per academic year will be given slots to participate in the program with tuition fee waived by the host institution. GU and OLFU students can participate in an English Language and Korean Language Programs, respectively, every vacation (summer and/or winter).

Suseong College entered into a Partnership Agreement with Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) for a collaborative education agreement and exchange information based on the following: Mutual Fertilization for Education Agreement; Mutual Cooperation for Academic Exchange of Professors and Students; Running Language Training and Global Placement Program; and Collaboration for Transfer of Students.
