Demonstrating anew its strong nursing excellence, Our Lady of Fatima University’s (OLFU) College of Nursing welcomes its 89th topnotcher among the 626 newly licensed Fatimanian nurses following the May 2024 Philippine Nurses Licensure Exam.

Angela Joyce Ojeda, a recent graduate from the OLFU-Antipolo Campus, secured the 9th spot nationwide, outperforming over 11,000 other examinees.

Angela Joyce’s impressive score of 90.20 percent places her among the elite ranks of newly minted nursing professionals. Her achievement marks the 89th time that the College of Nursing has produced a topnotcher, solidifying the institution’s established reputation in nursing education.

Notably, the Antipolo Campus demonstrated its collective strength, with first-time takers achieving a remarkable performance with a passing average of 89.77 percent—surpassing the national passing rate of 89.13 percent for this group. Additionally, the Valenzuela campus also excelled, achieving a passing rate of 90.77 percent for its first-time takers.

Overall, three OLFU Campuses—Antipolo, Quezon City, and Valenzuela—managed to register performances beyond the national passing rate of 69.72 percent. Antipolo led the way with an impressive passing average of 83.90 percent, followed by Quezon City with a turnout passing rate of 79.18 percent, and Valenzuela with a registered passing rate of 75.23 percent.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) officially released the results on 14 May 2024, where 7,749 out of 11,116 takers emerged successful.

Passers are now encouraged to register online for the issuance of their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration. The official schedule for the oathtaking ceremony of the newly licensed Filipino nurses will be announced at a later date. – Raymond Lumagsao
