In the March 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (L.E.P.T), Fatimanian educators exhibited remarkable performance, with Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) Quezon City campus boasting its newest topnotcher, Daniela Morales.

Released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on 24 May 2024, the comprehensive results of the examination reported that out of 44,764 candidates, 20,890 successfully passed for the Elementary Level. Additionally, out of 85,980 examinees, 50,539 emerged as professional teachers for the Secondary Level.

Daniela Morales secured her rank among the topnotchers with an impressive examination rating of 90.60 percent, snagging the tenth place. This marks the eighth time that the OLFU College of Education has produced a topnotcher, solidifying its position as a leading institution for teacher education.

Moreover, first-time takers from OLFU Antipolo and Quezon City campuses for the Elementary Level demonstrated exceptional performance, surpassing the national passing rate (NPR) of 76.60 percent with rates of 95.24 percent and 95 percent, respectively. Including OLFU Valenzuela, Fatimanian educators from these campuses collectively achieved an impressive 91.84 percent passing rate for Elementary Level first-time takers, further outperforming the NPR.

For the Secondary Level, alumni of OLFU Valenzuela, Antipolo, Pampanga, and Quezon City campuses showcased outstanding performance for first-time takers, with passing rates ranging from 85.71 percent to 92.86 percent, surpassing yet again the NPR for the respective group and level.

Consequently, the overall performance of OLFU for both Elementary and Secondary Levels carried out respective sound passing rates of 77.78 percent and 75.57 percent, surpassing national passing rates of 46.67 percent and 58.78 percent respectively.

OLFU’s consistent excellence extends beyond healthcare programs, as evidenced by its education offerings. Following the March 2024 L.E.P.T., a total of 148 newly licensed professional teachers are poised to embark on their promising academic careers.

Meanwhile, successful passers are advised to register at their respective testing centers for the issuance of their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration.

The schedule for the oathtaking ceremony of new teachers will be announced at a later date, according to an announcement on the PRC website. – Raymond Lumagsao
