The pride of Our Lady of Fatima University- Antipolo Campus (OLFU Antipolo), powerlifter Carl Angelo Gongora, yet again proved he is a name to watch out for on the local podium!

The Physical Therapy sophomore bagged a gold medal in the Luzon Equipped Open u74kg–College Division, and a silver medal in the same competition under the Novice Division during the “Luzon Open and Interschool Raw Powerlifting Championship” on July 08 to 09, 2023.

The test of physical strength was held at the Robinsons Metro East in Pasig City where OLFU and its delegates were recognized as the best team in the competition.

It can be recalled that Gongora earlier collected a gold medal in his last year’s powerlifting stint.

OLFU Antipolo’s College of Physical Therapy took to social media to flex their promising athlete.

“The College of Physical Therapy in Our Lady of Fatima University Antipolo is extremely proud of you for representing our college,” the college stated in an online statement, 11 July 2023, Friday. The event was organized by the Powerlifting Association of the Philippines affiliated with the Philippine Sports Commission.
