Symbiotic relationships do not develop instantly but, rather, are nurtured over time when planning, collaboration, and implementation are carried out as a team. This investment of time and effort then turns into gains in the form of mutual trust and a powerful partnering towards commonly shared progressive paths in the arenas of education and industry.
On 02 December 2022, worldwide hospitality institutional partners expressed their appreciation of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) for the partnership forged through the years. One was the HIAP or the Hospitality Institute of America-Philippines, Inc., and the other one was ZIP Travel Philippines. HIAP is a provider of world-class, industry-recognized training programs, while ZIP runs work-travel abroad programs, overseas internship programs, and overseas career training programs.
Set at the Admiral Hotel in Manila, the HIAP awarded OLFU a certificate of appreciation “for being the sole educational institution that has continuously achieved the highest utilization rate of all HIAP programs since it was formally offered in 2020”. Aside from this University-wide recognition, the HIAP also showed its gratitude specifically to OLFU’s Valenzuela Campus for its propagation of HIAP’s international training programs. In the same vein, ZIP recognized OLFU Valenzuela for its earnest dedication in internationalizing their students via the “best intercultural experience” programs.
Physically present to humbly acknowledge the honors bestowed upon OLFU were key movers of the College of Hospitality and Institutional Management (CHIM). Program Heads of the said College who attended the awarding rites were: Armina Javier (Tourism Management, Quezon City Campus), Maria Lourdes Sadie (CHIM, Cabanatuan Campus), Riza De los Santos (Tourism Management, Valenzuela Campus), Gemili Cabatic (Hospitality Management, Valenzuela Campus), Araceli Sobremisana (Nutrition and Dietetics, Valenzuela Campus), Charito Corpus (CHIM, Cabanatuan Campus), and Raffy Dizon (Hospitality Management, Quezon City Campus).
