Considered to be the basic unit of society, the family builds the foundation for its members. Indeed, the household must be kept strong, and that is why family physicians work hand in hand to promote a safe, healthy, and nutritious lifestyle for families around the world.
In response to their commitment as the family’s partners in healthcare, The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health of Fatima University Medical Center actively participated in The Philippine Academy of Family Physicians’ celebration of the World Family Doctor Day with the theme “PAFP Family Doctors Leading the Way to Better Health” through a set of community activities conducted last May 18, 2018 at Barrio Bitik, Valenzuela City.
Driven by the goal to encourage families’ engagement in practices that nurture the environment and overall health, the activity lineup comprised of the following: Slogan Making on the topic “Doktor at Pamilya…sa Kalusugan Nagkakaisa”, Layman’s Forum on Nutrition, and Family Vegetable Planting, deemed to be a healthy family activity.
