Forging an alliance with the world-renown American Hospitality Academy or AHA, the College of Hospitality and Institutional Management (CHIM) of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) unveiled its new offering— the Dual Diploma Programs, which build onto the existing programs of CHIM, namely Hotel & Restaurant Management (HRM) and Travel Management (TM).
By virtue of the word “dual”, a Dual Diploma Program means a graduate will have, not just one, but two diplomas. The first scenario will award a student a diploma in B.S. in HRM (OLFU) plus a diploma in International Hospitality Leadership (AHA). On the other hand, the second scenario will confer upon a student a diploma in B.S. TM (OLFU) plus a diploma in Multicultural Tourism Studies (AHA).
The perks of the proposition is that AHA courses are already built-into the curricula of HRM and TM. Also, AHA courses are all taken on-line; no worries about travel and accommodation expenses in getting international certification.
CHIM is nurturing the partnership with AHA to add value to student credentials; equipping them with more skills, learning and affiliation so that they can have the edge in the fiercely competitive industries of hospitality and tourism— be it in the local or international arena.
