It was the 25th of June 2016 when the College of Computer Studies (CCS) of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) hosted the 5th CCS Practicum Seminar and Research Orientation at the University’s San Lorenzo Multi-Purpose Hall.
Dedicated to CCS On-the-Job Trainees, the event aims to prepare them for the corporate world, as well as their capstone project requirement. The capstone project is the equivalent of a thesis to an Information Technology student, in which he or she will have to develop any of the following: a website, software application, embedded system, a prototype, a network set-up, and more.
Guest speakers from various industries covered topics on Resume Writing, Interview Tips and Power Dressing, Computer Hardware Competencies, Software Competencies, Surviving the First 100 Days in the Corporate World, and the I.T. Capstone Project Research Orientation.
Spearheaded by CCS Dean Dr. Raymond S. Macatangga and Practicum Coordinator Ms. Abegail S. Comandao, an estimated 169 CCS OJT’s from the Valenzuela Campus attended the seminar.
