Throughout the years, the College of Hospitality and Institutional Management (CHIM) Week has been one of the most awaited events in the illustrious and prestigious Our Lady of Fatima University. The overall event organizer, Mr. James Mark Balbuena, and together with the CHIM Faculty Advisers – Ms. Charlene Borbon, Ms. Evelyn Joi Velasco, Ms. Joannes Alonsagay, Ms. Mary Joanne Angel and Mr. Mike Abel Badilla, the Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) Society and the Travel Management (TM) Society, teamed up once again to design another astonishing and memorable event that manifested their personal qualities and well-developed skills. From the 9th of March 2015, the CHIM Week provided ground-breaking performances, sophisticated experiences and grandiose moments to each Fatimanian and every honored guest.

With the theme “Reigning Local, Conquering Global”, the CHIM Community proved their countless capabilities and filled the CHIM Week with unparalleled entertainment and experiences. A holy mass then a ribbon cutting ceremony was done to officially launch the CHIM Week. A wide variety of booths, competitions and exhibits, such as the International Arc Festival Competition, Lights and Replica Competition, International Modern Festival/Street Dance Competition, Banchetto, Photo booth, Entrepreneurial Booths, International Buffet Setup (Asian Wedding Setup), International Table Setup, Cake Festival, Flair tending Competition, Fruit and Vegetable Carving, Job Fairs and Film Showings, were opened for everyone to enjoy. The morning was spent right by Zumba dancing and another set of competitions, such as the Waiter’s Relay, O-Shopping, The Voice of CHIM, Hospitality Bee, Dance Sport and Nutpeelicious, were played by different participants from the CHIM Community. The third day was also an unforgettable day because of the Food Fashion, Boodle Fight, Patatas ni Princess Sarah, Market Basket, Tour Guiding, Bed Making and Napkin Folding. Seminars for the HRM and TM students were also held on the 10th and 13th.

To add to the astounding legacy of the CHIM Week, the first annual awards night, dubbed as the CHIM Phoenix Gala Night, was introduced on the 12th of March 2015. It was a night full of amusement, glamour and recognition. The highlight was the acknowledgement of the award-worthy participants and it was made even more remarkable by the phenomenal performances from the Personality Development participants, 3R Fashion candidates and Dancing Flight Attendants.

The whole CHIM Week and Gala Night was led by the excellent team.
