Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) Research Development and Innovation Center (RDIC) Director Dr. Michael Joseph Diño was named President-Elect of the Phi Gamma Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the second largest Professional Nursing Organization in the world.

A member since 2013, Dr. Diño will hold the position until 2021. Actively involved in the organization, he is also the first Filipino recipient of Sigma’s Emerging Nurse Researcher award, and the first non-American scholar of Sigma’s Emerging Nursing Faculty Leadership Academy (ENFLA).

The Phi Gamma Chapter, Sigma’s only virtual chapter, has more than 300 active members from over 30 countries and 6 continents.
