Contributing to the celebrated legacy of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) as the “Home of the Topnotchers,” another Fatimanian rises atop among the highest placing test-takers in the recently concluded August 2023 Psychometricians Licensure Examination.

The College of Arts and Sciences of OLFU Antipolo once again produces a national acing psychometrician in the name of Carl Emman Bacurin, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology graduate who secured the Top 7 place following the latest state exam for psychometricians.

In an official online announcement of results by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) on 09 August 2023, Bacurin garnered a total rating of 87.80 percent, outperforming 8,346 national takers across the country.

The Fatimanian who graduated in June 2022 was the first-ever summa cum laude of OLFU Antipolo since its establishment in 2008.

Following the press release of PRC on Wednesday evening, the proud mental health advocate echoed a brief statement on Facebook.

“Para sa bayan, para sa mga mangangailangan at nangangailangan sa kalusugang pangkaisipan, [For the country, for those who will be needing and who are currently in need of mental health (support)],” Bacurin said as he looks back to his roots and the key motivation of his academic success.

The amazing news simply validates the impressive feat of OLFU’s BS Psychology Program, and notably, OLFU Antipolo, which earlier had hailed a coveted state topnotcher in the February 2022 Psychometrician Licensure Examination in the person of Joshua James Dela Cruz.

Equally, the premiere University also takes pride in its 168 newly licensed psychometricians, among them are 159 first-time takers, who earned their requisite baccalaureate degree across the OLFU campuses of Valenzuela, Quezon City, Antipolo, Pampanga, and Nueva Ecija.

The Board of Psychology headed by Chairman Miriam Cue was the chief proponent of the exam where a total of 6,133 out of 8,370 are named successful takers.

The online registration for the release of their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration is slated on September 4 to 8, September 11 to 15, and September 18 to 22, 2023.
