Our Lady of Fatima University’s College of Pharmacy soared in the August 2019 Pharmacist Licensure Examination with two recognitions.

OLFU’s College of Pharmacy – Valenzuela Campus landed in 5th place among the Top Performing Schools with its 87.17% passing rate which was remarkably ahead of the 69.52% national passing rate. This showing from the College put it ahead of almost a hundred schools which partook in the said board exam.

Adding to this win was batch 2019 cum laude Van Angelo O. Sy, RPh, from the OLFU Valenzuela Campus. He placed in the Top 2 spot with a rating of 91.37% in the same licensure exam.

As Sy shares his thoughts about his success, he said that becoming a topnotcher was never really a goal. “All I wanted was to have a rating high enough that would help me land a career in the academe. However, I was blessed with much more than that”, he expressed.

Surrounding yourself with the right people is vital to reaching success—this is what Sy imparts with this achievement. “My four-year academic journey in Our Lady of Fatima University’s College of Pharmacy had been full of challenges but I was able to able to surpass them all because I had very inspiring professors and I had a wonderful support system within my peers in the college”, said Sy.

In all, OLFU celebrates the 346 board passers and, consequently, newly licensed Pharmacists of the College of Pharmacy.
