Upholding the “legacy of excellent education and compassionate value formation”, the Valenzuela Campus and Quezon City Campus of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) earned the much-coveted Autonomous Status from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), effective from June 2019 until May 2021 as per CHED Memorandum Order No.12, Series of 2019.

An Autonomous Status entitles an institution to a number of benefits and responsibilities, as per CHED Memorandum Order No. 19, Series of 2016, such as: “Priority in the grant of subsidies and other financial incentives/assistance from the CHED whenever funds are available,” (Art. II, Sec.8) and “Privilege to determine and prescribe their curricular programs to achieve global competence” (Art. II, Sec. 10), among many others.

OLFU’s two campuses are part of the very select 68 Private Higher Education Institutions that received the said certification.
