In the 33rd Annual General Assembly of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation, Our Lady of Fatima University was recognized for its top-rated performance in the licensure examinations.

More popularly known as the PACUCOA, the educational excellence-seeking institution held its 33rd Annual General Assembly last December 1-2, 2022 online, and led with the theme “Integrating Employability Outcomes into the Quality Assurance Roadmap in light of Global Standards”.

For the segment of the program on Special Awards, the PACUCOA recognized member schools with the highest rating in the licensure exams ran by the Professional Regulation Commission. Notably, OLFU was cited for two coups. One, the PACUCOA awarded the University’s College of Physical Therapy- Antipolo Campus for the stellar performance of its alumna, Jasmine Lianne Esguerra, who took the Top 1 spot in the December 2021 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination by scoring 90.40%. Then, also, the College of Nursing- Valenzuela Campus was lauded for its graduate, Nora Jane Staveley, whose 90.00% mark ushered her to the Top 1 rank in the May 2022 Nurse Licensure Examination. University President, Dr. Caroline Marian Enriquez, was present online to receive the honors from the PACUCOA which were conferred by the latter’s Executive Director, Dr. Adlai Castigador.

One can say that the PACUCOA’s 33rd General Assembly was simply robust with pillars who support quality education in the country. Delivering keynote addresses were: Vice President Sara Duterte; Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Higher Education; Atty. Lily Freida Macantangan-Milla, Director of International Affairs Staff, Commission on Higher Education (CHEd); Hon. Cong. Mark Go, CHEd Chairman in the House of Representatives; Ellen Fullido, President of the People Management Association of the Philippines; Hon. Dr. Jose Cueto, Jr., Commissioner, Office of the Commissioner II, Professional Regulation Commission; Mandy Mok, CEO & F ounder, AppliedHE, Singapore, and Dir. Lotus Prostrado, Country Director, British Council, Philippines.

OLFU was well-represented during the two-day PACUCOA event with: Dr. Ana Liza Ocampo, Head for the University Center for Quality Management; Dr. Ramonita Salazar, Quezon City Campus Administrator; Dr. Ignacio Cordova, Jr., Dean for the College of Business and Accountancy and for the College of Hospitality and Institutional Management; Dr. Maria Luisa Uayan, Dean of the College of Nursing, and Dean Hernan Labao of the College of Physical Therapy.
