OLFU Physical Therapy Valenzuela Campus Accredited

The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation, Inc. (PACUCOA) of the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) recently marked Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) Valenzuela Campus’ Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physical Therapy a globally comparable program as it sealed the Level IV Accredited Status.

Through the endorsement of FAAP, in a communication of PACUCOA addressed to OLFU President Dr. Caroline Marian Enriquez on 5 June 2023, the health allied program is verified as the latest to secure the highest accreditation that has taken effect in May 2023 until May 2028.

The report of Dr. Esther Verdana, chairman of the accrediting team for OLFU had undergone stern review by the PACUCOA Board of Directors that would later earn their nod, a concrete confirmation of OLFU’s fervent pursuit in upgrading its competitive and quality education.

This Level IV top critical analysis rating of FAAP conferred on BS Physical Therapy puts this program alongside BS Nursing and BS International Hospitality Management, along with the Graduate School offerings including Master in Business Administration, Master of Arts in Nursing, Master of Arts in Education and Master of Arts in Teaching — all of which had risen earlier to Level IV status, bagging the coveted top accreditation repute.

Through the years, OLFU’s BS Physical Therapy has hauled in a number of top acers in the state examinations including Jasmine Lianne Esguerra who impressively finished as Top 1, and Paulo Garvida who landed Top 3, both in the December 2021 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination. In 2022, the feat was sustained by another Fatimanian by the name of Dicky Calo-Oy who was hailed Top 4 in the June 2022 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination.

Clearly, the aggressive route of OLFU towards internationalization does not only invest in forging transregional relationships. This accreditation, a salient administrative success of OLFU only renews the institution’s high regard of the standards prescribed by the government as well as of its self-regulation status.

While demonstrating a strong foundation at a national level established under an in-depth grasp of the global academic landscape, OLFU sees this effective blueprint to propel excellence in today’s ever-changing academic service.

To exemplify, it can be recalled that OLFU had been classified as a four-star institution by the eminent Quacquarelli-Symonds (QS) Stars in July 2023, just two months after the prestigious World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) had named the institution both into their Top 50 Fourth Industrial Revolution Awardees for 2023 and Global Top Innovative Universities (Top 101-200).
