ACCREDITATION: ISO 9001:2015

As the Our Lady of Fatima University continues to ensure that its educational services act in accordance to the standards set for an academe, OLFU’s efforts recompensed with the Basic, Undergraduate, Graduate, and Post Graduate Levels’ completion of the ISO 9001:2015 external audit –which was certified by the AJA Registrars, Inc. last October 2018.

This achievement again underlines OLFU’s continuous effort in advancing the University’s mandate of delivering quality education to all of its students.

AUTONOMOUS STATUS

OLFU was granted Autonomous Status last March 2009 by the Commission on Higher Education for its compliance to public responsibility and accountability as a higher education institution. Among the criteria for selection and identification of OLFU’s autonomy is its outstanding overall performance of graduates in the licensure examinations administered by the Professional Regulations Commission and the Institution’s integrity and untarnished reputation.

Autonomous status allows a university to design their own curricula, offer new programs, and put up branches or satellite campuses without having to secure permits, confer honorary degrees, and carry out operations without much interference from CHED.

IQuAME A(t) Status

OLFU applied to the Commission on Higher Education for the latter’s national program called IQuAME (Institutional Quality Assurance through Monitoring and Evaluation) and was granted A(t) status that states that OLFU is recognized as a “Mature Teaching Institution” last February 15, 2009.

Considered parallel to accreditation which is concerned with the outcome of individual programs, IQuAME examines the effectiveness of an institution in its entirety –particularly its overall strategic and operational management of academic affairs and other programs and services.

IQuAME A(t) Status is achieved when the institution has quality education as its main business. CHEd specifically looks at the following indicators: Student Scholarships, Equity and Access, Student Services, Relevance of Programs, Networking and Linkages, Extension Programs, Faculty Profile, Use of Information and Communications Technology, and Income Generation. OLFU has achieved flying colors in all of the indicators which in return, granted OLFU the IQuAME status.
