Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) continues to innovate in providing convenient and practical ways for its students to maximize their learning experience. Part of the institution’s numerous efforts is the facilitation of online tuition payment via the UnionBank GetGo Debit Card.

Initially, the online payment service is offered at the Valenzuela Campus. Valenzuela students with the UnionBank GetGo Debit Card can now pay their tuition via the UnionBank Online App without the hassle of personally lining up at the Accounting Office.

On 10 February 2020, the partnership between OLFU and UnionBank was formally sealed through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony at the Research, Innovation, Science, and Enterprise (RISE) Tower, Valenzuela Campus. Representing OLFU at the event were Executive Vice President Don August O. Santos, and Head of Student Financial Services, Vincent Kenneth S. Mercado. The UnionBank officials present were Joyce Gonzalez, Retail Banking Center Head; Larry Peralta, Sales Director for Metro North Region; Bryon Bantilan, Business Manager – Valenzuela Branch; Mary Ann Benedicto, Head of Onboarding, and Edna Sanchez, Onboarding Officer.

In a short interview, UnionBank’s Joyce Gonzalez emphasized the convenience that the online payment service offers to OLFU students, who tend to be very busy with their academics. According to her, the method is “very user-friendly.”

Larry Peralta also mentioned the benefit of paying online through GetGo Debit Card for parents – they can easily transfer money to their student’s UnionBank account and allow them to pay smoothly online. Byron Bantilan also highlighted the security of this payment method as it is cashless — students do not have to personally hold or bring cash when enrolling.

Interested parties must (1) apply for the UnionBank GetGo Debit Card via https://getgo.unionbankph.com/debit-card and secure a reference number; (2) claim their Debit Cards at the UnionBank Valenzuela Fatima Branch by presenting the reference number, two ID photos, and proof of identification (School ID + Reg Card + Birth Certificate); and (3) download the UnionBank Online App, where they can begin making their transactions.

The Annual Membership Fee of P500 is waived for the first year.

The UnionBank Online App is available for download on the Apple Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android).
