August 28, 2018 marks another significant event, as representatives from Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) and Shandong Yingcai University (SYU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formally recognize an accord that aims to provide their respective students high quality education. Shangdong Yingcai University is the largest privately-owned educational institution in China.

On the other hand, the OLFU contingent was composed of: President, Dr. Caroline S. Enriquez; Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Heracleo D. Lagrada; Manager of the Center for Professional Development and Academic Partnership and Assistant Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Rodehlia L. Macaspac; Graduate School Program Coordinator, Dr. Fred B. Ruiz, and International Coordinator for China, Dr Michael Lin.

Plans that will benefit the two institutions were discussed such as possible exchanges in terms of faculty, students, and research initiatives. Being that SYU does not yet offer post-graduate degrees, it could be an opportunity for OLFU to send some of its faculty to China to help initiate SYU’s graduate school programs.

The two schools also agreed to support each other and work hand in hand to strengthen their current program offerings and services, giving only the finest education to their students to help them become successful professionals of the future.
