On 25 June 2022 during the 4th Udayana International Nursing Conference, six nursing students from the Valenzuela Campus of Our Lady of Fatima University won 3rd Place in the Oral Presentation Category. They competed against 79 other delegates under nine divisions.
With their research piece, “Compassion Fatigue, Posttraumatic Stress and Somatic Symptoms among Filipino Nurses Examined through Mixed-Method Perspectives,” the team was comprised of lead presenter Karl Wong, and student presenters— Diana Maria Jayne Bacus, Elliah Nicole Dichoso, Christine Mae Jarabe, Jecerry Mae Jungco, and Vanessa Labog.
The said Udayana summit is an annual event hosted by the Nursing Study Program which is under the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University in Bali, Indonesia. This year’s event essaying the thought, “Driving Healthcare Innovations to Strengthen Resilience of Nursing Education and Practice in a Changing World”, brought together researchers, nursing experts, and global health partners to discuss resilience in facing the challenges of the developing global environment.
