Two hundred thirty three (233) senior students of the Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) College of Medicine together with their parents attended the Junior Medical Internship Ceremony held last April 21, 2015 at the AMS Auditorium.  This was the very first junior internship ceremony conducted by the college.  The highlight of the program is the pinning and stethoscope looping ceremony of the graduating medical students.

Dr. Caroline Marian S. Enriquez, University President in her opening remarkswelcomed and thanked the parents of the students for taking time to attend the internship ceremony of their children.  She said that internship is a big challenge and responsibility for the medical students.  During their internship, they will be wearing the pin that carries their name, the name of their parents and also the name of the university.  They will also wear their white uniform which symbolizes purity.  They should always perform their duties with pure intention to cure and manage the health of their patients and always work as part of a team.

On the other hand, the stethoscope, as explained by Dr. Rebecca W. Deduyo, College of Medicine Secretary/Registrar, is the symbol of physicians.  It is being used as a means of communication between the medical doctors and their patients.

Department heads, faculty members and College of Medicine staff also attended the junior internship ceremony.
