Officially commencing activities for 2019, the Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) College of Maritime Education (CME) hosted its first batch of exchange students from two renowned South Korean maritime schools.

Arriving on 03 January 2019, eight students from Mokpo Maritime University (MMU) and six students from Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU) were welcomed in an opening ceremony held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the San Lorenzo Hall, Valenzuela Campus. CME Dean, Captain Eutiquio Reyes, Jr., led the ceremony, which was also attended by CME faculty members and representatives of the student organization Maritime Club.

The exchange students spent one month with OLFU to learn English; to take some CME subjects, and to immerse in Filipino culture.

Last year, six OLFU students were sent to both MMU and KMOU for one semester as part of the Universities’ student exchange program.
