Congratulations to the President of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU), Dr. Caroline S. Enriquez, for being elected as the President of the oldest educational association in the country, the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU). PACU has esteemed private Higher Education Institution (HEI) members such as the University of Santo Tomas, University of Asia and the Pacific, Mapua University, Far Eastern University, Technological Institute of the Philippines, De La Salle Araneta University, University of the East (Manila), and of course, OLFU. PACU members have been continuously working together to enhance the capabilities of the private HEI’s by supporting “relevant and effective education policies”.
On the other hand, the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Heracleo D. Lagrada, was recently elected as an official Board Member of the Central Luzon Association of Higher Education Institutions (CLASSHEI). It is a 40 year old organization that connects the Central Luzon HEI’s with one another. They also familiarize the members on current matters like general education curriculum, and the various policies, standards, and programs of CHED. CLASSHEI is also a channel for members to get a better understanding of universal access to tertiary education, bridging programs, subsidy for private schools, and such other initiatives. Dr. Lagrada will be representing OLFU Pampanga which is now a proud member of the said organization.
