A team of accomplished students hailing from the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) at Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) Antipolo Campus recently achieved an extraordinary feat during the 17th Business Idea and Development Award (BIDA) by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) on 21 September 2023.

Comprising Franco Gabriele Delatina, Ronna Charlize E. Gonzaga, Maria Trixie Jontaciergo, Althea L. Felipe, through the guidance of their adviser Dr. Catherine P. Catalan, the group secured the coveted championship conferred on them at the PCCI Office in McKinley Hill, Taguig City.

This prestigious competition sponsored and organized by the PCCI Education Committee aimed to showcase the immense talent of young entrepreneurs with groundbreaking and innovative business concepts.

Notably, the event witnessed and welcomed the participation of 70 diverse higher education institutions (HEIs) coming from both public and private sectors across the country.

The wise mentorship of Dr. Catalan led the remarkable team to shine at their brightest.

Needless to say, this yet again success is a testament to the team’s dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence, and to the unwavering support of the CBA department, represented across all campuses led by CBA Dean Dr. Ignacio Cordova Jr.

It is with immense pride and joy that we extend our heartfelt congratulations to this exceptional group of individuals on reaching this significant milestone!

UPDATE: During the 49th Philippine Business and Expo on 25 October 2023 at the Manila Hotel, the recognition was formally conferred on the winning team where Dr. Catalan, their coach, and Dr. Ignacio Cordova Jr., Cordova, CBA Dean, also appeared with them to receive the award.
