The 19th day of August 2016 was a day of fulfillment for the 24 On-the-Job Trainees (OJT’s) of Korea’s progressive Ulsan College (UC). Said date saw the culmination of their internship at the Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU), Valenzuela Campus. This four-week program is a fruition of UC’s aim to globalize education for their learners.
Deployed to the various OLFU programs, the 24 Koreans underwent training with close supervision care of Dean Lurceli Santos (Nursing), Dean Arturo de Leon (Dentistry) and Dean Mary Anne Santos (Physical Therapy). The OJT program is an intensive practicum experience that includes lectures, hands-on training and immersion in Filipino culture.
On “graduation” day, the OJT’s received their certificates of attendance authenticated by no less than OLFU’s University President, Dr. Caroline Marian S. Enriquez. The ceremony was held at the conference room of the Center for Quality Management at the Valenzuela campus. In lead of the affair was OLFU’s Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Heracleo Lagrada. In the said post, Dr. Lagrada spearheads the formation of international academic linkages as that between OLFU and UC.
Ulsan College is a Korea-based, private educational institution with two campuses located in Ulsan City, known as the most powerful city in South Korea because it is the base of the Hyundai group of companies. In relation, Hyundai Heavy Industries owns, and is the financial sponsor of UC.
