The First Aid Team of the Emergency-Fatima Action Teams on Rescue Services (E-FACTORS), a duly recognized student organization of the Our Lady of Fatima University – College of Criminal Justice won 1st Runner Up in the Basic First Aid Challenge during the “3rd Disaster Preparedness Skills Olympics and Benchmarking” held in Valenzuela City. The competition is an annual activity being hosted by the Valenzuela City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office in observance of the National Disaster Consciousness Month.

This is the second time E-FACTORS won in this competition.  The group also bagged the 1st Runner-up title in the same competition last year.

The winning team is composed of Louie Henrik S. Despuig (Team Leader), Geofrey U. Gatbonton, Maria Ellaiza Shairi D. Ligutan, Keneth Esteban, Rei Ann Patrice G. The, Leni L. Puracan, Kris Anjeli E. Librero, Floyd B. Alcala, Nicole Ann J. Hiponia and Elija Lunday. The group was awarded with a plaque of recognition during the awarding ceremony held last July 24, 2015 at the Valenzuela People’s Park-Amphitheater in Valenzuela City.  They also received three (3) certificates signed by the Hon. Rex Gatchalian, Mayor of Valenzuela City, for their active participation in the different challenges.

Public and private organizations coming from different schools, barangays, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and national agencies with offices in the city competed in the Skill Olympics.
