On 20 August 2020, the Basic Education Department of the Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) Pampanga Campus held a jam-packed and fun-filled Virtual Day Camp for all of its students.

The Day Camp is an annual event of the Pampanga Campus in lieu of the usual Acquaintance Party, and this year, with health and safety in mind, the festivities were done online. Nonetheless, the limitations did not stop the entire department from having an enjoyable and enriching time.

In the safety of their homes, BED students got to interact in the virtual space through exciting activities aimed to develop camaraderie and unity among them.

In “Zoom-buh”, students and teachers grooved along to handpicked dance exercise videos. Then, they did a little show-and-tell in “That thing called me” – each student presented an object that best represents them.

Love, gratitude, and appreciation overflowed in “OLFU FLEx Frontliners,” where students dedicated letters and artworks to the brave frontliners.

In “Achievers Got Talent con Tiktok with Dub Smash,” students showed their shining talents through short videos with TikTok as the main platform.

Participants also played the “Never have I ever” game. To start, each held up their ten fingers representing ten points. Questions were given and every positive answer entailed a contender to lose one point. The winner was the one with the most number of points.

Exceeding boundaries, the Virtual Day Camp ended as a success with each student holding new memories. Such proves that despite barriers and distance, there are many ways of making meaningful endeavors happen.
