Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) saw its graduate, John Derick C. Perez, soar in the August 2018 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination as he was named one of the topnotchers.

Perez, an alumnus of the Valenzuela Campus, landed the Top 5 spot with a rating of 86.75%, earning his Physical Therapist license with flying colors.

Making it into the Dean’s List in his junior year, and eventually, into the upper 10% of his graduating class, the top performer was seen as a diligent and responsible student during his stay at OLFU.

According to Perez, he began his college life with a “happy-go-lucky” attitude, not focusing much on his studies. However, when he failed a class report due to “lack of preparation”, he became motivated to do better. “From that time onwards, my college life started to change,” he said.

The topnotcher names his family, friends, and girlfriend as his inspiration as they never stopped believing in him. He also attributes his success to the help of the Almighty Father. “Believe me or not, I never stop asking God for guidance, to give me wisdom, to sustain me everyday; every challenge I face I offer it to God Almighty,” he shared.

For this edition of the boards, 76 out of the 931 passers are OLFU’s very own; specifically from the Valenzuela, Antipolo, and Quezon City campuses.

Together with the faculty and staff of the College of Physical Therapy, the rest of the University celebrate the success of its new Physical Therapists.

Congratulations!
