OLFU Online Scholarship Examination Guidelines
S.Y. 2022- 2023
For students who wish to apply for OLFU Scholarship Programs, take note of this guide for the OLFU Online Scholarship Examination (OOSE):
- The OOSE schedules will be on June 8 and June 22, July 6 and July 20, August 3, 2022 for the Grade 11 Plus, College Freshmen, and College of Dentistry. July 1, July 15, July 29, and August 5, 2022 for the College of Medicine (COM). The exam for COM will be every 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a maximum of 100 test-takers each day.
- The OOSE is open to incoming Grade 11 Plus, College Freshmen, and College of Dentistry, and College of Medicine (COM) students who have paid their application fees.
- The exams will be conducted through ClassMarker and Zoom. Applicants who will be using their mobile phones in taking test are encouraged to use at least two gadgets for ease during the exams. Laptop users don’t need to use two gadgets. Links for the exams will be given by the Admissions Office on the day of the exam schedule of the applicant.
- The OOSE will be divided into sets: one for the incoming Grade 11 Plus students, another for the College Freshmen and College of Dentistry students, and the other one for COM.
- The exam will be composed of 100 test items. For incoming SHS Grade 11 Plus and College students, there will be 40 items for English, 40 items for Science, and 20 items for Math.
- The whole test duration will be 1 hour and 30 minutes–10 minutes for the preliminaries and briefing, 1 hour and 15 minutes for the exam proper, and 5 minutes for the closing instructions. The exam for COM must be finished within 1 hour only.
- The Admissions Office will be in charge of scheduling the students who are interested to take the OOSE. Applicants are advised to prepare the following during their exams:
- Strong Internet Connection
- Zoom application installed on their gadget
- Successful registration through the provided Zoom meeting credentials 3 days before the exam schedule
- Another gadget where they can take the OOSE, preferably a laptop
- On the day of the exam:

- Test-takers must enter the Zoom meeting room with their videos on to ensure integrity during the exams.
Test-takers will be briefed by the assigned proctor before the start of the exams. - The link for the exam, using the ClassMarker application will be given on-the-spot and must be accessed immediately by the test takers.
- If the test-taker experiences internet connection problems while taking the exam, he/she must immediately inform the proctor through the contact numbers provided during the briefing. Test-takers who will encounter such problems will be given only one chance to return to the meeting room and continue the test.
- If a test-taker gets disconnected twice, he/she will no longer be able to continue taking the exam and will be disqualified from taking the OOSE.
- Test-takers must enter the Zoom meeting room with their videos on to ensure integrity during the exams.
- Test-takers will be admitted promptly to the Zoom meeting room. After five minutes, the proctor will proceed with the preliminaries. Once this starts, the meeting room will be closed.
- Applicants who will not be able to attend their scheduled date of exam may connect with the Admissions Office to get another schedule only if they can provide a valid reason as to why they missed their first schedule.
