In the March 2025 Medical Technologists Licensure Examination (MTLE), the College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS) of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) once again posted exceptional results, further solidifying its reputation for academic excellence and reinforcing its standing as a national leader in medical technology education.
In an official release by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on 3 April 2025, OLFU’s remarkable performance in the licensure exam saw three of its campuses earn Top-Performing School distinctions. The Antipolo City campus achieved a 96.08 percent passing rate, ranking 9th nationwide, while the Valenzuela City campus followed closely at 10th place with a 95.56 percent passing rate. The Quezon City campus also delivered an impressive showing, ranking 11th with a 95.16 percent passing rate. These stellar outcomes outpaced over 140 higher education institutions across the country, further demonstrating OLFU’s strength in producing quality medical technology graduates.
Since 2022, OLFU has earned the Top-Performing School distinction five times across four consecutive years—an enduring testament to its rigorous academic standards and steadfast commitment to cultivating future-ready healthcare professionals.
In a message to the academic community, University President Dr. Caroline Marian S. Enriquez extended her heartfelt congratulations to the faculty and students of the College of Medical Laboratory Science. She lauded their unwavering commitment to excellence and emphasized that OLFU’s continued success in the state exams goes beyond national rankings.
“This achievement underscores our greater mission: to produce compassionate and globally adept medical professionals who will shape the future of healthcare—one milestone at a time,” the President said.
In addition to the Top-Performing School accolades, with pass rates ranging from 87.88 percent to 98.31 percent, all six OLFU campuses—including Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Laguna—have surpassed the national passing rate for first-time takers, which stood at 85.99 percent.
Notably, the Laguna Campus posted a strong 96.97 percent overall passing rate, while the Nueva Ecija campus followed with 91.11 percent—both exceeding the national passing rate of 80.27 percent. Collectively, OLFU achieved an outstanding 92.22 percent passing rate across all campuses.
A total of 415 newly licensed medical technologists have joined the ranks of OLFU alumni, now equipped with the essential knowledge and skills to thrive in the field. Dr. Enriquez praised the graduates’ efforts and encouraged them to continue their journey as impactful contributors to the healthcare sector.
The March 2025 results build upon OLFU’s impressive legacy of success. In the August 2024 MTLE, the Valenzuela campus ranked 3rd among Top Performing Schools, and alumna Patricia Danielle B. Navarro placed 4th nationwide with a score of 91.20 percent.
As the PRC is set to announce the schedule and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees, OLFU’s College of Medical Laboratory Science continues to affirm its role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals—one exam, one milestone, and one graduate at a time.
