True to Our Lady of Fatima University’s (OLFU) mission to improve man as man, Research Development and Innovation Center (RDIC) Director, Dr. Michael Joseph S. Diño has been selected to participate in the International Council of Nurses (ICN) Global Nursing Leadership Institute (GNLI)™ 2020 as one of its scholars.
ICN’s Global Nursing Leadership Institute (GNLI)™, according to its official website, is a “strategic leadership programme” which “prepares top nurses from around the world to drive policy that improves the health of people, health care and the nursing profession.” Its selection of scholars involves a “competitive process”– applicants from different parts of the world consist of senior-level registered nurses and midwives involved in various fields such as government, advanced clinical practice, nursing education, and research and development. OLFU’s very own Dr. Diño emerged as one of the selected few to learn from this great opportunity.
Dubbed as “the world’s first and widest reaching international organization for health professionals”, the ICN consists of over 130 national nurses’ associations (NNAs) representing over 20 million nurses worldwide.
The University expresses its warmest congratulations to Dr. Diño for his new endeavor in furthering nursing practice and research on the international stage. Rise to the top!
