Boosting its standard of education on the international stage, the Our Lady of Fatima University Basic Education Department (OLFU BED) participated in the 2019 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Community of Education Innovation Pilot Program for School Leadership Development held in Seoul, South Korea from September 25 to 30, 2019.

Part of the Philippine delegation was Quezon City Campus BED Principal Dhonny Bacuyag, who also represented OLFU. At the program, he presented a school reform case study entitled “Technology-Enabled Pedagogy and Culturally Sensitive Education: A Step Towards Education 4.0”.

Hosted by the Korean Ministry of Education and the Institute of APEC Collaborative Education (iACE), the five-day event also included the 15th APEC Future Education Forum and the 17th International APEC Learning Community Builder (ALCoB) Conference.

Currently, OLFU BED has three partner schools in South Korea, namely: Songbuk Elementary School, Eoyeon Elementary School, and Anbeop High School.
