The Basic Education Department in the Quezon City Campus of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU-BED QC) bagged three awards at the Transcend 2020, an online leadership summit hosted by Far Eastern University Diliman.
The event’s theme, “Fostering a Culture of Excellence through Holistic Leadership,” aimed to highlight the importance of equipped leaders in building a nation of excellence that can overcome the challenges it faces.
The Leadership Summit saw some 19 schools in the National Capital Region participating in a medley of academic and non-academic competitions. OLFU-BED QC took home three notable awards.
Ivy Marie Totto won the contest in Essay Writing in Filipino. She was mentored by Mr. Kloyde John Q. Ponce and Hazel Joie A. Navarro.
A BED QC Team also won the Advocacy Idea Pitch. They are Cassandra Soriano, Sheilla Mae Nazario, Paola Mikaela Eduvas, Shanel Alqueza and Paula Dela Cruz. The group was coached by Ms. Cheryl Anne Demafiles.
Lastly, Claire Ann D. Ungson was declared as First Runner Up in Vlog Making. She was guided by Mr. Mark Anthony E. Libeco and Mr. Nikko Vincent Pacumba
