Meet Regine Diaz, a BS in Pharmacy graduate. As a young girl, she always viewed a good college education as one step closer to her dream of becoming a successful career woman. Now, she works as a Regulatory Affairs Manager at a leading multinational cosmetics company.

John Oliver Brioso, on the other hand, is a BS in Information Technology cum laude graduate who was a scholar during his college days. Now an educator at a top university, he is currently working towards a PhD.

Meanwhile, Bachelor of Science in Travel Management (Tourism) graduate Junneth Rubios, also a cum laude, continues to hold her head high with the confidence she developed at school. She is now going places around the world as a flight attendant for a Middle Eastern international airline.

The three alumni share something in common: Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) is their alma mater. Inspired by the University battlecry, “Rise to the Top”, OLFU alumni bear this banner of encouragement beyond the school’s halls demonstrating life skills and true grit to make better lives for themselves, their families and their communities.

And the legacy of quality education lives on with the inauguration of the new OLFU Laguna Campus last 19 June 2019 along the Old National Hi-Way (Manila South Road), in Barangay Macabling, City of Santa Rosa. Situated just five minutes from SM City, the school is now accepting students for SY 2019-2020 into its initial program offerings: Bachelor of Science degrees in Medical Laboratory Science, Pharmacy, Psychology, Computer Science and International Tourism Management. Programs are expected to double-up by next year.

Sitting on a four-hectare property is the campus’ first building with five stories and over 20 classrooms and laboratories. A total of five to six buildings are in the pipeline over the next few years.

On bringing the University’s corporate outlook and standards to Laguna, Executive Vice President Don August O. Santos said, “I think the vision is universal; since we’re in the spirit of Fatima, the mission of Fatima can be replicated wherever we may build the campus.” He added that this would be because of their loyal and committed employees, and the standardized curricula across all of their campuses.

University President Dr. Caroline Marian S. Enriquez also expressed her excitement for this new campus. “We look forward to being able to build a school of choice for the potential students here and beyond,” she said.

This establishment is also a testimony to OLFU’s commitment in making affordable quality education more accessible. “Our rates are very reasonable. Wherever we go, people are amazed at how we deliver quality education at such a price point,” shared Dr. Enriquez.

“Hopefully, you can try out the Fatima brand of education, which means that you get the best for a very reasonable price, and you get your value for money,” Santos invited.

Along with College Deans, Campus Administrators, and valued guests from the surrounding communities, also present in the inauguration were the rest of the University Administrators, namely: Chair of the Board of Trustees Dr. Yvonne S. Guevara; Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Mylene S. Abad Santos; Member of the Board of Trustees Enrico O. Santos; Director of Alumni Affairs Robert Bjorn O. Santos; and Fatima University Medical Center President Dr. Vicente O. Santos, Jr.

The Laguna Campus is OLFU’s sixth campus and its first in the Southern part of Luzon. Enrollment is now ongoing, and classes will begin on 01 July 2019.
