No important announcement
In a research-oriented event headlined as the “National Science and Technology Week 2016 Research Competition”, the Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) fielded participants through its College of Pharmacy, Antipolo Campus (CoP-Antipolo).
Previously, OLFU’s Pharmacy participants had already presented their research entry in the first leg of the contest, earning them one of the three Finalist spots.
Last 29 July 2016, the Mall of Asia Atrium in Pasay served as the staging ground for the Finale of the competition. It was here that the OLFU’s research team presented and defended their work before the Panel of Judges, headed by Dr. Hilton Y. Lam, Program Coordinator of the Metro Manila Health Research and Development Consortium (MMHRDC).
The College of Pharmacy’s research entitled, “The Synergistic Activity of Ethanolic Extract of GliciridiaSepium (Kakawate) and Ampicillin AgainstStaphylococcus Aureus and Escherichia Coli”, took the Top Prize in the Oral Research Presentation (Professional Category).
Congratulations to the Research Authors who are all faculty members of the College of Pharmacy of OLFU’sAntipolo Campus: Mr.KhentAlcantara (Oral Presenter), Ms. Ma. Concepcion Sim and Mr. Mark Daryll Reyes.
The July 29thcompetition was also in celebration of the National Science and Technology Week by the Metro Manila Health Science Community.
