OLFU Safety Leaders Attend the SOPI
September 23,2016

The safety and security of students, faculty members and staff are the top-of-mind for Dr. Caroline Marian S. Enriquez, President of the Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU). And it is in this light that OLFU sent its Campus Administrators and Safety Officers to the 4th National School Safety Convention, hosted by the SOPI or otherwise known as the Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. in partnership with some government and private institutions (one of which is OLFU).

Held at the Occupational Safety and Health Center located on Agham Road, Quezon City last September 6 to 7, 2016, OLFU was represented by the following delegates: Dean Wilfredo Basilio and Engr. Joel Paz of the Antipolo Campus; Dean Muriel Caballero and Dr. John David of the Pampanga Campus; Dean Roel Trinidad and Engr. Noel Rimando of the Nueva Ecija Campus, and Mr. Max Mabazza of the Quezon City Campus. Joining them was the Dean of the College of Criminal Justice, Dr. Zorobabel Laureles, who serves as OLFU’s official representative to the SOPI. He is also a member of the 2016 School Safety Division that had planned out this September convention.

The OLFU Chorale, with Mr. Aldrich Batalla as Conductor, sung the doxology and the Philippine Nationa Anthem during the opening ceremonies.

There were some 80 participants who came from various parts of the country, with most of them being school administrators, campus security officers, safety officers, building administrators and laboratory custodians.
