OLFU Criminology Faculty gets Outstanding Award

Dr. Ernesto T. Gutierrez, a faculty of the College of Criminal Justice of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) was recently recognized as one of the “2015 Outstanding Criminologists of the Year” by the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PCAP). Dr. Gutierrez received his award from Dr. Gerry Cano, PCAP President, during the 25th Annual National Convention of the association held at the Bayview Park Hotel, Malate, Manila, last January 29-31, 2016.


Dr. Gutierrez was recognized for his great contribution in the advancement of criminology profession in the country in his capacity as a retired police inspector who served the police service for 33 years as well as his being an academician. He has been teaching at OLFU since 2004.  Last September 2015, he received a Service Award from no less than the University President, Dr. Caroline S. Enriquez.


Witnessing the awarding ceremony were the participants including Dean Zorobabel S. Laureles, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice and faculty members namely: Dr. Wilfredo Domingo, Dr. Edward Teredano, Ms. Lothes Samante, Ms. Cecille Mae Canilon, Ms. Frances Medlyn Luha, Ms. Princess Villegas and Ms. Leslie Gechelle Dela Cruz.


Dean Laureles also received the same recognition from PCAP last year.
