Following a successful year with the Sing to Win program, Intel¨ Microelectronics Philippines launched Sing to Win 2: The Intel¨ Music Video Making Contest with their various partners. Last November 21 ? 24, the aforementioned program went to Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) in partnership with Dell Global B.V. Philippines. Participants of the competition were tasked to create their own music video rendition of five pre-selected hit songs: Moves Like Jagger and I Won?t Go Home Without You by Maroon 5; Aerosmith?s I Don?t Want to Miss a Thing; How Do I live by Trisha Yearwood and Vanessa Carlton?s A Thousand Miles. The objective of the said competition was for the contestants to sing, dance or perform to the accompaniment of their chosen song and develop their films with the aid of any execution of the film arts such as flash animation, live action, stop-motion locomotion, and the like in avi, .flv, .mov, .mp4, .mpeg or .wmv format. However, photo sequences or photo slide shows were not allowed. Participants had to create 15 seconds footages for the start and end of the music video on the 4-day booth put up at OLFU?s Tamaraw campus. Contestants were expected to either create their own cover version of their chosen song or use someone else?s cover since the use of the original music automatically disqualifies their entries. The said music video-making challenge was participated by various departments from Our Lady of Fatima University. Among the departments who took part in this endeavor were the College of Nursing, Psychology, Computer Science, Tourism and Marine studies. Mr. Randy Kanapi, Marketing Manager of Intel Philippines was responsible for judging the submitted entries. A big chunk of the criteria went to Editing Skills, and half percentages for Song Interpretation and Creativity. After careful deliberation, Mr. Feugene Macariola, Mr. Rey Angelo Macariola and Mr. Ryan Dahuya?s entry of Moves Like Jagger were chosen as winners of the OLFU Sing to Win 2 Leg. Each winner was awarded a plaque and a brand new Dell Inspiron N4050 laptop last January 31, 2013 at 1800 Bldg. Dell Eastwood in Libis by Mr. Norlan Calzada, Representative of Dell Philippines.
