Initiatives Slated in 2017 Show Fatima’s Heart
February 23,2017

Watch out for the many initiatives happening  this year. As Dra. Enriquez had said in her Keynote Message during the 50th Anniversary celebration last February 3, 2017, the line-up of efforts this year are meant to express the institutions’ deepest gratitude for the success the OLFU and FUMC are today.

Here are the activities coming this 2017:

OLFU’s top-performing Senior High School students will be awarded scholarships.

OLFU and FUMC employees are encouraged to render 50 hours of “acts of kindness”. These can be participation in medical missions, works of charity, lending a helping hand, catechism class, blood-letting, donations, and more. It is hoped that by yearend, the institutions would have collected at least 50,000 hours of “acts of kindness”.

A big “thank you” goes out to students and employees when a huge fun event takes place at the Marikina Sports Center on March 4th. A total of approximately 24,000 attendees are expected to converge from all five campuses of OLFU, and from FUMC.

Past graduates of OLFU render their medical consultation services free-of-charge and for the day,  to the residents of a designated community.

  • COFFEE TABLE BOOK: “50 Years: A Glorious Journey to Greater Heights”

To be launched mid-2017, the publication chronicles the story of OLFU and FUMC--- the vision, the telling of the story, the tribulations, and the triumphs.

Set for Q3 2017, this will be OLFU’s first time to host an international learning event. Catering to educators and professionals in the academe, the conference has been billed as SPARKS or Synergizing Partnerships in Advancing Research, Knowledge and Service. Focused on promoting Academic Diplomacy, there will be at least three international speakers and at least four local experts.

Front and center will be distinguished alumna from OLFU, tackling various topics. They will be drawing from their rich experiences from both a professional and personal standpoint.
