Dr. Zorobabel S. Laureles, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice of Our Lady of Fatima University received a recognition from the PCCR Alumni Association, Inc. as one of the 2014 Gawad Justice Felix Angelo Bautista awardees given in a ceremony held last May 20, 2014 at the Century Park Hotel in Manila. The GawadJFAB Award is given every three years by PCCR Alumni Association to honor different personalities for their excellence in the criminal justice system. And for this year, the Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) was also recognized by this organization. Dr. Laureles was recognizedfor his outstanding achievement as an educator and for his continuous community service involvement that contributed in the efficient administration of criminal justice in the country. He was also a recipient of the following awards: Outstanding Citizen Award of the Municipality of San Luis, Aurora in 2009, the conferment of the title: President Emeritus of the Ex-Shield of the Province of Aurora, Inc. (ESPAI) in 2011 and a presidential award from the President of the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) in 2012. Other awardees include Justice Michael P. Elbinias (Court of Appeals), Honorable PersidaV. Rueda-Acosta (PAO), Ambassador Benjamin B. Domingo (MLC), CSUPT Santiago E. Laguna (BFP), CSUPT Diony D. Mamaril (BJMP), SSUPT Jose D. De Guzman (NICA), CSUPT Elmo DG San Diego (POSD, QC), MS. Celia D. Soriano, Mr. Enrique Lim, Mr. Jerry T. Cua, Mr. Ramon D. Morales, Mr. Jaylord T. Asayo (ABS-CBN) and Mr. Emil S. Sumangil (GMA-7) who are all prominent figures in the field of criminal justice in the country. Meanwhile, Dr. Laureles is very thankful to OLFU especially to its President, Dr. Caroline Marian S. Enriquez for giving him the opportunity to be part of the university.
