The College of Pharmacy (COP) of Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) conducted its Academe Industry Linkages Program (AILP) for the college’s industry partners coming from the hospital pharmacies, cosmetic companies and pharmaceutical manufacturing companies. The event was held last March 12, 2016 at the VMS Function Room of OLFU Antipolo City Campus attended by Dean Olive M. de Vera, faculty members from the different OLFU campuses, and college alumni.
The AILP is a program that aims to strengthen the existing collaborations with the different Pharmaceutical Industry Partners of the college.
Dean de Vera presented to the group some key specifics about the College including its history, viability, curriculum, enhancements, facilities and equipment, faculty members, student services, internship program and affiliates and achievements. She also pointed out that the AILP 2016 is conducted to recognize the contributions of the affiliates and to solicit constructive feedback from industry partners.
Part of the program is an open forum wherein representatives of industry partners shared their insights and observations such as the performance of OLFU Pharmacy students during internship and concerns on establishing a stronger partnership between cosmetic companies and the academe since Pharmacists play an important role in the regulation and standardization of cosmetic products. Dean de Vera assured the group that OLFU College of Pharmacy will address all the concerns brought up by the industry partners.
The College of Pharmacy led by Dean de Vera and Program Heads of the different OLFU Campuses awarded the industry partners who attended the event with a certificate of appreciation for all their contributions and supports to the college.
