No important announcement
In July 2018, Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) welcomed twenty-eight (28) new on-the-job trainees from South Korean universities namely Ulsan College and, a new school partner, Cheongju University.
Ulsan College fielded ten (10) students for the Nursing program, and nine (9) students for the Physical Therapy program; while Cheongju University sent seven (7) Nursing students and two (2) Dentistry students. All of them took their internship at OLFU for four (4) weeks.
August 17, 2018 marked the 4th and final week of the Korean students. A closing program was held at the San Lorenzo Hall, OLFU Valenzuela where they bade their goodbye’s. With thoughtful messages from selected students, gratitude and appreciation were expressed especially for the opportunity to be part of the said internship program which involved hands-on patient care at OLFU's partner hospitals such as East Avenue Medical Center and Our Lady of Fatima University Medical Center.
The closing event was attended by the Deans of the Colleges of Nursing and Physical Therapy--- Dr. Maria Luisa Uayan, and Dr. Mary Anne Santos respectively. The practicum coordinator for the College of Dentistry, Dr. Aura Luz Nebres, and Maritoni Pablo from the College of Physical Therapy were also present at the event. The program was organized by the Center of Professional Development and Academic Partnership led by its manager, Dr. Rodehlia Macaspac.
The growing number of institutions Fatima has successfully partnered with, has resulted to an increasing number of foreign exchange students who take their internships at OLFU. The University continues to dedicate itself in providing high quality education and training; making these accessible to, not only local students, but also to foreign students, thereby helping to mold learners into globally-competitive professionals.
