CCS Faculty improves with Novell SUSE Linux Training

Novell SUSE Linux Training was held last April 30 – May 9, 2012 for the three campuses and was represented by Mr. Lersan Del Mundo (Valenzuela City Campus), Engr. Mary Regina Apsay (Quezon City Campus) and Mr. Roland Dela Cruz (Antipolo City Campus). The training was conducted by Mr. Melvin Nipas, the 1st NCLA instructor of OLFU.The training was designed to prepare the instructors for their “Novell Certified Linux Administrator (NCLA)” examination.

After the training, the three (3) CCS instructors took the NCLA examination at Touch Solutions Office through Pearson Vue testing center last 1st June 2012.

The NCLA certification examination was a success! All three CCS instructors passed with flying colors, the official NCLA results are as follows:

1.) Mr. Lersan del Mundo (Valenzuela City Campus) Score: 791/800
2.) Mr. Ronald dela Cruz (Antipolo City Campus) Score: 747/800
3.) Engr. Mary Regina Apsay (Quezon City Campus) Score: 791/800

The CCS department initially offered last 2nd Semester A.Y. 2011 – 2012 the course entitled “Novell SuSe Fundamentals”. This coming Academic Year 2012 – 2013 we will now offer the Novell SuSe Fundamentals and Novell SuSe Administration as elective subjects for the three campuses. After each completion of Novell SuSe Fundamentals and Novell SuSe Administration, students will receive a Certificate of Completion from Novell. Students who completed the two Novell SuSe course will now quality to take the Novell Certified Linux Administrator examination.

The CCS department is committed in delivering quality education and wide variety of opportunities for its students by integrating relevant courses such as Novell SuSe integrated in the curriculum and eventual Industry certification.
