Nicole Ann J. Hiponia, OLFU Valenzuela Criminology graduate of 2017 received the Certificate/Medal of Merit for being the Overall Number 1 in the class of the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) RTC 3 “MATAGSILAK” Class 2019-03 Alpha to Golf, conducted from October 22, 2019 to May 22, 2020 at the Regional Training Center 3, Barangay Sto. Nino, Magalang, Pampanga.

Garnering a general average of 90.347%, Patrolwoman Hiponia was able to surpass the three hundred seventy-two (372) other students of the “MATAGSILAK” class.

The said class is composed of newly-recruited police officers from three (3) PNP National Support Units namely PNP Crime Laboratory (PNPCL), Training Service, and Communication and Electronics Service. Patrolwoman Hiponia was a recruit from the PNPCL.

Handing the award to Hiponia was Police Brigadier General Rolando J. Hinanay, Director of the PNP Crime Laboratory Group, who was assisted by PLT COL Marlon V. Rufo, Director of the RTC 3, during the graduation ceremony held last 22 May 2020 in the RTC 3 Training Center.

Four (4) other OLFU alumni from the Valenzuela and Quezon City campuses who also joined the PNPCL and completed the PSBRC were Pat. Gio A. Buen, Pat. Mary Ann M. Gregorio, Pat. Joselito O. Hernando Jr., and Pat. Bernard P. Amigo Jr. (QC Campus).
