The ultimate goal of this tripartite alliance was to grant the program heads and faculty members of the CBA and CHIM their Australian certification, after having attended the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Program which ran from July 8 to 12, 2017.

The Hibernia Institute in Sydney is an accredited educational institution of the Australian Government, established to provide high quality, innovative and relevant tertiary and vocational education programs that foster academic, cultural and personal development, and aims to lay the foundation for students to become engaged global citizens. MAJESTiiC, on the other hand, intends to create a borderless industry that is focused on education and employment by globally-linking Australian and international educational institutions and businesses.

The five-day intensive program covered training that zeroed-in on group-based learning, learning at the workplace, conducting assessment activities and processes, as well adult learning, literacy and numeracy skills. The course endeavoured to enhance the participants’ competencies in planning, development, design, organization, delivery and facilitation. Faculty members were then evaluated based on how they performed versus learning outcomes. They were also tasked to prepare professional documents that highlight their strengths and breadth of experience, both in the realms of academe and industry. Further, the training program helped learners to develop new techniques and strategies that could improve the delivery of teaching and assessment, not only in the classrooms, but also in laboratory-based activities.
