OFFICE OF THE RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION CENTER (RDIC)
In pursuant with Our Lady of Fatima University’s Vision-Mission, “To Improve Man as Man”, the Research Development and Innovation Center (RDIC) commits itself to the promotion of high quality and excellent scholarly work generated through research that will contribute to the development and betterment of society.
RESEARCH PRINCIPLES
The Research Development and Innovation Center is guided by the National Higher Education Research Agenda (NHERA) namely:
* To ensure that the academic environment nurtures and supports research talents;
* To promote the individual’s capacity to conduct independent and productive research;
* To ensure that researches done are consonant with bioethical principles governing the conduct of studies.
* To facilitate the conduct of technology-directed and innovative / creative research.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
* The RDIC is under the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. It is headed by a Director with a support staff
* The RDIC, under the mandate of its Director, shall direct and guide the University’s research mission and monitor the conduct of research activities.
* The RDIC shall serve as the center and repository of all research and research-related activities within the University. As such, it is in charge of compilation of research works and the publication of these researches in the university journal.
* The RDIC shall recognize quality research works and thus recommend financial support and other incentives, to deserving researchers based on existing research incentives policies.
* The RDIC shall make available on a first-come, first served basis the use of institutional facilities and appropriate technical support for conducting research.
* The RDIC shall select and ensure the publication of deserving researches through the publication of an annual Fatima University Research Journal.
* The RDIC shall initiate and establish mutually beneficial linkages with other colleges, universities and research- oriented agencies and organizations, both local and international.
* The RDIC shall formulate other intervention measures and strategies for further motivating and fostering a research culture within the members of the University’s academic community.
* The RDIC shall spearhead the approval of research proposals for institutional researches, grants memorandum of agreement, financial support and collaboration of research projects from other institution.
* The RDIC shall publish research publications, journals, and summary of featured abstracts for the purpose of disseminating new knowledge and information.
THE R.O.A.D. TO PROGRESS: Research Oriented Agenda for Development
With the university’s progress, research empowerment for its colleges has been granted. The bequeath of research under the RDIC proves a new milestone toward a sustainable development and innovation to foster evolutionary transcendence across disciplines as well as their theories and practices. This calls for the need for quality research with wide spectra of effective and efficient improvement actions. In response, the Research Oriented Agenda for Development (ROAD) embodies the collective endeavors of Our Lady of Fatima University toward a revolutionized era of systematic and innovative researches dedicated to the societal improvement. The ROAD provides several strategic research agenda composed of sequential plans aimed at the development of innovative research dedicated to societal and environmental improvement.
