OLFU’s College of Nursing was the first BSN program to be accredited Level III in the NCR by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) in National Capital Region. The College’s curriculum integrates the following: (1) review programs for examinations necessary for employment in the U.S.: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language, CGFNS (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) and NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses); (2) extensive training in nursing informatics; (3) quality research activities exposure to students; and (4) foreign language training.

Our Virtual Laboratory showcases advance learning facilities such as computerized patient simulators and functional Operating Room thus providing excellent learning environment. The Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) also awarded the college with a Center of Development (COD) citation in recognition of its strong undergraduate program and very qualified faculty members. The college is also known for its strong research program, whose works are published in reputable journals and presented in local and international conferences.

Caregiver Training

The course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes of Caregiving National Certificate  II in accordance with industry standards.  It consists of competencies that a person must achieve to provide care and support to infants/toddlers, provide care and support to children, foster social, intellectual, creative and emotional development of children, foster the physical development of children, provide care and support to the elderly, provide care and support to people with special needs, maintain healthy and safe environment, respond to emergency.

Bachelor of Science in Midwifery (4-year program)
Diploma in Midwifery (2-year program)

The Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Midwifery programs  provide students with knowledge and skills about the foundations of midwifery, normal obstetrics and care of the newborn and basic family planning. The program also includes topics related to managing pregnancies, postpartum periods, high risk Obstetrics, midwifery ethics, law and practice. It aims to produce graduates who are competent for work as an educator, health care provider and as a supervisor/administrator.
