On the second year of Quezon City’s “Kulinarya Turismo Talento at iba pa”, Our Lady of Fatima University College of Hospitality Management placed first in the Barbecue Sauce and Garnishing category held recently at Central Plaza, Eastwood City, Libis. Mark Edward Dulatas and Melvin Gabriel, senior BS Hotel and Restaurant Management students competed in the event which includes other categories such as Low Cholesterol Diet Meal Competition, Fruit and Vegetable Carving, and Flairtending. 50 colleges from all over the metropolis registered during the pre-competition and were trimmed down to 12 during the final round. The entry “Wanton Crusted Vegetable in Basil Mayo Dip Grilled Java Rice Balls Chicken Lemonada in Asian Barbecue Sauce” bested the others from top institutions. The University received a trophy as recognition while the contestants were given medals and gift certificates. Mr. Angelito Fanggo was the coach and adviser during the competition.
