Last February 22, 2010, accreditors from the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities Accrediting Agency, Incorporated or ACSCU-AAI, were on hand to review and accredit OLFU's Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology Programs. Members of the accrediting team include prestigious school officials from noted universities around the country. Heading the accreditation team was Dr. Marietta Villegas of Fellowship Baptist College of Kabangkalan, Negros Occidental. Dr. Villegas was in charge of reviewing the section on Purposes and Objectives and Organization & Administration. Other members included Prof. Carmencita Duenas of Philippine Christian University (PCU) for Faculty & Instruction - BS Biology, Prof. Glenn Repique also of FBC for Faculty & Instruction - BS Psychology, Dr. Wilhelmina Tomas of Trinity University of Asia (TUA) for SPS and SOCI sections, and Prof. Gemma Plasabas of Siliman University who reviewed the University's Library resources.
During this period all 5 members of the accrediting team visited university facilities and observed classroom activities. A multitude of documents and exhibits were also examined and analyzed in support of the College of Arts and Science's Level II accreditation of its Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology Programs. The College of Arts and Sciences is led by its energetic and capable College Dean - Dean Ernesto E. Leuterio. At the end of its 5 day inspection and review, the ACSCU-AAI team left with a positive note, congratulating OLFU's administration and officials for a job well done as all of them were permeated with the University's spirit of camaraderie and dedication to providing quality education. The University extends its appreciation to all the accreditors who shared with OLFU personnel their valuable time and advice.
